Spray Foam for Radiant Flooring

Radiant flooring is very popular because it is a very efficient way to evenly heat a building. The floor will be warmed by electric coils, or more commonly hot water.  These systems should have insulation below the heat lines to keep the heat from being lost into the cold concrete, and ground below.
More ands more Ontario builders and contractors are using polyurethane foam instead of rigid foam (SM) products.  Rigid Foam requires taping at the seems, cutting to fit, and is often broken in numerous spots by workers as they place the heat lines on top.  Spray foam can be installed on top of existing clear stone, and then walked on within an hour of application. You can screw right into the foam when attaching your heat lines, and you're ready to pour the concrete! Here is an example
Costs for foam are on par to the cost of product and labor to install SM/Rigid foam, and you will get an R12 instead of R10!
